On Friday, 25 October 2013, at night at 0:53, in Vilnius, on Dzūkų street, at the junction with Pelesos street, a BMW 316 hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — a 18-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 18-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.88‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
