On Sunday, 27 October 2013, at night at around 4:00, in Vilnius, on Gedimino pr., at the junction with Jogailos street, an Audi A8 registered in Russia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Audi A8 (a citizen of Russia), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.03‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
