On Saturday, 26 October 2013, in the morning at around 8:00, in Šilutės district municipality, Barzdūnų village, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 184.23), a Toyota Corolla Verso hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Toyota (11 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
