On Monday, 28 October 2013, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street near No. 77, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323, a Hyundai i 30 and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Mazda (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.01‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
