On Tuesday, 5 November 2013, in the evening at 18:23, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 21), a Toyota Avensis hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 39-year-old pedestrian. The accident was caused by a 39-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway outside a crossing where there are vehicle or pedestrian barriers.
