On Saturday, 9 November 2013, in the evening at 17:10, in Lazdijų district municipality, Agarinių village, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 38.85), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a ZPT40 and a Volkswagen Golf. One person was injured — the 36-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the ZPT40 (26 years of driving experience), who violated cargo-transport rules, violated warning-signal usage rules and violated lighting-device usage rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
