On Monday, 11 November 2013, at night at around 2:00, in Alytus, on Volungės street near No. 15, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530 D, an Audi 80, a Peugeot 307 and an Audi 100. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the BMW, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.18‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
