On Sunday, 17 November 2013, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kauno district municipality, Ringaudų village, on the Kaunas–Zapyškis–Šakiai national road (kilometre 6), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a BMW 318 and an Audi A3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.11‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
