On Monday, 18 November 2013, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Klaipėda, on Šilutės pl. near No. 100, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a Renault Laguna. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Audi (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
