On Thursday, 21 November 2013, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Vilnius, on Kauno street near No. 31, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Carisma and a Toyota Avensis. Three people were injured — the 50-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient), a 42-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 20-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
