On Saturday, 23 November 2013, in the afternoon at 14:42, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Verpena–Šalteniai–Ramučiai regional road (kilometre 1.37), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and an Opel Zafira. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (2.51‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
