On Wednesday, 27 November 2013, in the afternoon at 13:43, in Širvintų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 44.80), a DAF TE95XF registered in Ukraine hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Ukraine) (12 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
