On Saturday, 30 November 2013, in the morning at around 8:00, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on the Putinai–Slabadai–Janukiškiai–Barzdai regional road (kilometre 5.10), a Ford Galaxy ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Ford, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
