On Wednesday, 4 December 2013, in the afternoon at 15:45, in Klaipėda, on Šiaurės pr., at the junction with Kretingos street, a Mazda Xedos 6 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 10-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 10-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mazda (16 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
