On Wednesday, 4 December 2013, in the evening at 17:21, in Šiauliai, on Žemaitės street, at the junction with Dubijos street, an Opel Vectra hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 56-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Opel (8 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. Both drivers were sober.
