On Wednesday, 11 December 2013, in the morning at around 10:00, in Anykščių district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis main road (kilometre 92.14), a DAF FT XF105.460 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Poland) (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, there was freezing rain, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 80 km/h.
