On Saturday, 21 December 2013, in the morning at 7:46, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Skaistgiriai–Pušalotas regional road (kilometre 10.35), a Mitsubishi Space Wagon hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person died — a 75-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by a 75-year-old pedestrian, who committed traffic rule violations that contributed to the accident and was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest).
