On Saturday, 21 December 2013, in the afternoon at 16:01, in Šiauliai, on Verdulių street near No. 60, an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.13‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
