On Monday, 30 December 2013, in the afternoon at 14:17, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Žemaitijos street, at the junction with Naftininkų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Chrysler Voyager. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Audi (43 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
