On Monday, 30 December 2013, in the evening at 17:06, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Ariogala–Raseiniai–Kryžkalnis national road (kilometre 22.94), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a MTZ Belarus-50, an Audi 100, a 2PTS and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the MTZ (35 years of driving experience), who violated cargo-transport rules. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
