On Saturday, 4 January 2014, in the evening at 20:20, in Rietavo municipality, on Plungės street near No. 27, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Toyota Corolla Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
