On Thursday, 9 January 2014, at night at around 23:00, in Radviliškio district municipality, Žąsaičių village, on the Šiaulėnai–Šaukotas–Pašušvys regional road (kilometre 8.40), an Alfa Romeo 155 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Alfa Romeo (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
