On Friday, 10 January 2014, in the evening at 21:12, in Telšių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 60.55), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
