On Wednesday, 22 January 2014, in the morning at around 10:00, in Rietavo municipality, on the Kryžkalnis–Rietavas–Vėžaičiai national road (kilometre 54.90), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a BMW 316. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Audi (28 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober.
