On Thursday, 23 January 2014, in the evening at 20:30, in Panevėžio district municipality, Alantos farmstead, on the Vilnius–Panevėžys (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 110.40), a Skoda Octavia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Skoda (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
