On Monday, 27 January 2014, at night at 0:15, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 180.25), a collision with barriers occurred. The accident involved an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Opel (14 years of driving experience), who fell asleep at the wheel. He was drunk (1.48‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
