On Thursday, 2 January 2014, at night at around 2:00, in Radviliškio district municipality, Pagarduvių village, a Volkswagen Sharan rolled over. One person was injured — a 19-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
