On Sunday, 9 February 2014, in the evening at 19:30, in Jurbarko district municipality, on the Kaunas–Jurbarkas–Šilutė–Klaipėda national road (kilometre 59.21), a Renault Megane hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Renault (26 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
