On Saturday, 8 February 2014, in the evening at 18:35, in Šalčininkų district municipality, on the Šalčininkai–Butrimonys–Eišiškės national road (kilometre 9.35), a vehicle hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 50-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene.
