On Wednesday, 26 March 2014, in the evening at 21:14, in Jonavos district municipality, on Tvenkinio street, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 17-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. The driver was sober.
