On Saturday, 12 April 2014, in the afternoon at 15:29, in Šilutės district municipality, on the Šilutė–Šyša–Krokų Lankos regional road (kilometre 3.60), a Toyota Avensis registered in Great Britain rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Toyota (3 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
