On Sunday, 11 May 2014, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Kauno district municipality, Šiulių village, on Šiulių street, a Volkswagen Passat hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 33-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen, who committed other traffic rule violations. The 26-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
