On Saturday, 17 May 2014, in the afternoon at 13:10, in Birštono municipality, Bučiūnų village, on the Jundeliškės–Nemajūnai regional road (kilometre 1.31), a collision with a motorcycle occurred. The collision involved a Yamaha XJ 600 and a Volkswagen Golf. Two people were injured — the 19-year-old driver of the Yamaha (treated as an outpatient) and a 15-year-old passenger of the Yamaha (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Yamaha, who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (1.47‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
