On Friday, 16 May 2014, in the afternoon at 11:28, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on the Žirgėnai–Pavištytis–Kregždžiai regional road (kilometre 5.80), a Volkswagen Golf rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
