On Sunday, 15 June 2014, at night at 0:57, in Plungės district municipality, on the Plungė–Medingėnai regional road (kilometre 3.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Audi, who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (1.21‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
