On Sunday, 15 June 2014, at night at 1:50, in Kėdainių district municipality, Pakruostės village, on the Surviliškis–Devynduoniai–Pociūnėliai regional road (kilometre 3), a Honda CRX ran off the road. One person died — a 31-year-old passenger of the Honda (was not wearing a seatbelt). Two people were injured — the 20-year-old driver of the Honda (hospitalized) and a 16-year-old passenger of the Honda (hospitalized, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Honda (2 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.52‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
