On Tuesday, 24 June 2014, in the morning at around 8:00, in Kaunas, on gryžubos street near No. 4, an Audi A4 hit an obstacle. Two people were injured — the 29-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient) and a 30-year-old passenger of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Audi (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.31‰ blood alcohol). A 30-year-old passenger of the Audi was drunk (2.26‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
