On Tuesday, 1 July 2014, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Marijampolės municipality, Igliaukos village, on Taikos street near No. 20, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved a Yamaha YZF-R6 and a Zhongyu ZY50QT7. One person was injured — the 33-year-old driver of the Zhongyu (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a helmet, had no driving licence). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Yamaha (2 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
