On Sunday, 6 July 2014, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Molėtų district municipality, Verbiškių village, on the Kapanauza–Čivyliai–Verbiškės regional road (kilometre 4.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Suzuki GSX-R 600 and a MTZ 82. One person died — a 55-year-old passenger of the Suzuki (was not wearing a helmet). One person was injured — the 32-year-old driver of the Suzuki (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Suzuki, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.98‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
