On Thursday, 10 July 2014, in the evening at 20:50, in Panevėžio district municipality, Linonių village, on Vėjo street near No. 5, an Audi 80 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 63-year-old driver of the Audi (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.42‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was contaminated. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
