On Wednesday, 16 July 2014, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Kėdainių district municipality, Gineitų village, on the Vilainiai–Šventybrastis–Krekenava regional road (kilometre 8.12), an Opel Astra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
