On Saturday, 19 July 2014, at night at 1:30, in Šilalės district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 235), an Audi 80 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Audi (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
