On Monday, 21 July 2014, in the evening at 17:30, in Kaunas, on K. Baršausko street near No. 94, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 406 and a Peugeot 307. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Peugeot 406 (14 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
