On Saturday, 9 August 2014, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Šilutės district municipality, on Hermano Zudermano street near No. 7, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision occurred. The collision involved a Ford Escort and a Chrysler PT Cruiser. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 82-year-old driver of the Ford (40 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
