On Monday, 11 August 2014, in the evening at 19:50, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 136.75), a DAF TE95XF ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the DAF (a citizen of Latvia) (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
