On Tuesday, 12 August 2014, at night at 1:39, in Vilnius, on Baltupio street near No. 61, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mitsubishi Colt, a Volkswagen Golf and a Renault Kangoo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.21‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
