On Sunday, 17 August 2014, in the afternoon at around 16:00, in Prienų district municipality, on Ežero kranto street near No. 12, a BMW 325 registered in Great Britain hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the BMW (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
