On Thursday, 28 August 2014, at night at 23:11, in Biržų district municipality, on Jovaro street, at the junction with Partizanų street, a Peugeot hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.55‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
