On Friday, 29 August 2014, in the evening at 18:20, in Tauragės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 46.15), a collision with a bicycle occurred. The collision involved a bicycle and a Nissan Almera. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 44-year-old cyclist, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.95‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
