On Wednesday, 3 September 2014, at night at 1:15, in Kalvarijos municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 89.58), a MAN TGX registered in Poland hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 29-year-old pedestrian (a citizen of Germany), who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). He was drunk.
